Chanel Goes Digital with “Viral” Video
Iconic brand Chanel has taken Parisian elegance to a new interactive level and shown it’s understanding of the socially networked, über connected digital generation. The beauty giant has released a light hearted video viral “Here comes the beauty pack”, showcasing the brand’s latest beauty collection which launched on luxury website Nowness, the brainchild of Chanel’s global creative director of make-up Peter Phillips.
The mini movie is a refreshing move for Chanel; following in the recent steps of Hermès to interact with Generation D and re-position the perceptions of their heritage luxury brand, Chanel has succeeded in creating a cyber storm by this video being being blogged and re-blogged around the world on beauty sites.
The narrative is light hearted, fun, and a beautifully executed animation with a lot of character and of course the chic we come to expect from the fashion giant.
