This one I just had to share with you folks - the Crosskase Solar 15 packpack.
I am a working Mum who splits time between being out and about with the kids and running a business on the go. I also run, cycle and am often on trains to London working. Guess what all these things have in common? They all completely cane my iPod and laptop batteries…..
If I am using 3g and GPS for Nike + app or Endomondo on my iPhone I know damned well I don’t have the juice to then go on for the day without re-charging the battery. Or, I am more often than not on a train trying to carry on working and use the time well ( errr….Tweeting mainly), but I have no batteries left to get anything done.
Enter stage right the Crosskase Solar 15 backpack which I was very kindly sent to try out. Suffice to day, I looooooove this thing.
The Solar 15 uses solar power to charge handheld devices with a battery that charges as you are out and about. So, if like me you are training for a half marathon or Cycletta, this gizmo will be charging while you train outside, to keep your smart phone full of juice to use the GPS apps we all need to map the miles. It will also be charging up as you wander about, reserving some power so you can pug back in when you need it.
Here is some techy stuff:
❤ An integrated 3 Watt solar panel on the front of the bag soaks up natural light and stores the energy generated inside the internal battery, which can charge more handheld devices including phones, GPS, laptops, consoles etc)
❤ It’s a speedy 2 hour charge time for most devices, and the battery can also be charged via UBS and mains of course.
❤ The Solar 15 doesn’t need mediterranean sun to work and can even cope with our rainy British weather as it trickle charges in standard daylight or artificial light.
❤ The backpack is a handy 25 litre capacity to be able to hold all your kit for a festival, training ride, camping weekend or just for the daily stuff we need to cart around! It also comes with 9 alternative adapter fittings to connect ot most gizmos including Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia, Apple, Tom Tom.
❤ I have been using it to to charge my phone when I am training for Cycletta ( don’t forget to sponsor me, folks!), and to carry my laptop around when I am out and about.
In short, I luuuuurve. If you are a mutli-gadgeted bod who is out and about a lot this little gem is for you.
