Have you got Twitter Paranoia?
Posted on: Sunday, November 13, 2011

We communicate so much more online these days. Our lives are conducted through blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
It’s as if we are in a virtual room of people, where misconceptions can so easily occur so it’s unsurprising that paranoia develops.
So, are you Twit-Paranoid? Here’s my definitive check list, people.

I am a Twitter addict.
There, I said it.
I check Tweets first thing in the morning, sometimes last thing at night, and I tweet daily. I tweet a lot. Read More >
Secret Garden Party theme announced: Standing on Ceremony
Posted on: Tuesday, November 8, 2011
Those of you who know me know how much I adore the Secret Garden Party, now in it’s 10th year of frivolities.
I have written about it here and here, and I am so honoured that this amazing festival happens to be mere minutes away from where I live, so showers and extra sleep can all happen. Fair weather camper? Me?
I have just heard that the 2012 theme will be……drumroll...Standing on Ceremony.
So, if you are going, start planning your outfits and theme-related paraphernalia. If you aren’t going..why not?! Book here.

Letter rings for type lovers on Punky Allsorts
Posted on: Tuesday, November 8, 2011
Love colour? Yes, yes I do. As a synaesthete it’s right up my street. And that even rhymes.
Love type? Why yes! I am a designer so it lights my preverbial. How about rings….with coloured letters?! Why yes! Love it!
Sex and Mugs and Rock and Roll

My gorgeous friends Lea and Sam, who collectively form The High Tea Cast, are putting on this amazing event at the end of November in aid of a wonderful charity.
Janie’s School is an awe-inspiring project by Jennifer Evans, who tragically lost her mum suddenly and unexpectedly. To honour her lovely mum and do something positive, Jennifer set about to raise £25,000 – that’s right, £25,000 – to build a school in Cambodia to give underprivileged children the chance of an education. Notebook lust: Sydney Harry design
Posted on: Thursday, November 3, 2011
I am such a sucker for stationery.
But this, this is different. This is a notebook, perfect bound and illustrated by designer and colour theorist Sydney Harry, available over on the site of all things amazing, Culture Label. It’s A6, beautiful, and just right for things which only a real pen and ink mindmap can convey (sorry Mindmeister, I feel unfaithful).
As a designer, synaesthete and stationery cupboard resident this, my friends, is as good as it gets.

Hormonal influx
Posted on: Monday, October 31, 2011

Here’s a little update on my first 10 days with Zoladex and Livial (HRT).
I have gained 4 pounds in weight; most of which feels like water retention as my arms and legs feel like the Michelin man and my belly is distended and sore but either way it’s pretty hideous.
I am in pain. A lot of pain.
I feel shattered, as if I could sleep for a week. Alongside the all consuming drowsiness I intermittently get the shakes, dizziness and and heart palpitations. I was so tired and disorientated last week I drive out of a fuel station into a moving flow of traffic. Luckily we weren’t hurt but I was shaken and scared.
Diva wears: Stylist Pick
Posted on: Tuesday, October 25, 2011
Imagine this: your own stylist.
Someone who knows your look, recommends some new key pieces for you, and sends them to your front door in lovely packaging, all tied up with ribbons like a package from a New York boutique.
So imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon Stylist Pick, which can do EXACTLY THAT.
I know. This is immense. Read More >
