Leia Lingerie, from the lovely people at Eveden who are behind Freya and Fauve, have launched a hint dropper app in time for Christmas. I work with Freya on their Fitting Talk blog as one of the panel of bloggers, a job I love particularly as I get to wear and try lots of beautiful Freya lingerie which is made for curvy fashion loving ladies – hop on over and you will find my ugly mug gracing the pages.
Christmas can be a prime time for dodgy jumpers, bad perfume and badly fitting underwear so Leia have come up with a helping hand for us girls to drop unsubtle hints and make sure we not only get gifts that we love, but that fit beautifully too.
The hint dropper app in Leia’s Facebook page lets you choose some lovely lingerie, in the right size for you, then emails your partner some unsubtle hints.
I might ask Santa if I can look like the models for Xmas. A tall order for the elves methinks…
It’s party time, people! Are you ready to glimmer and shimmer with the best of them?
Of course, you will have followed out BitchBuzz guide to beautiful Winter Skin so you are buffed up and gloriously gorgeous. Now check out our tips to look the belle of the ball this party season and knock ‘em dead, kitten.
Like anything in life, preparation is key. Give your face a mini facial in just one minute using Elemis Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser; just leave the balancing cleanser on the skin for one minute and let the natural active ingredients wash away tired skin and make up to reveal the radiant you.
Skin needs some attention before you bare, so spritz some Satin Effect Dry Oil with Hazelnut and Sunflower Oils to moisturise and leave your skin silky smooth with a lovely sheen for glamming it up. If you are feeling a little pale and interesting this Winter, XEN TAN’s Transform Luxe will allow you to tan safely and without streaking. It even smells gorgeous (unlike some, which have a distinct digestive biscuit feel), and the accompanying face tanner will work the same winter sun trick without the burn of the sun beds.
Parissa Mini Wax strips eyebrow designs from Boots will help tame any unruly brows before you start applying make up; a tidy brow opens up the eyes and will help define your make up look. Start your face base by mixing Cosmetics à la Carte’s Shine Illuminator with your usual foundation to build on your radiance boosting cleansing products and give you a perfect base for the evening. For eyes, the smoky look is always a winner, and cream eye shadows that double as eyeliners and eye shadows offer a way to build up a look bespoke to you. Try Cosmetic a la Carte’s Outliner range and the cream eyeliners by elf – simply apply with straight from the pot.
For some festive bling, Topshop’s Cream eyeshadow in Goldmine is so easy to apply and gives a brilliant gold shimmer; build it up for a deeper coverage, or use as a lid base with a heavy eyeliner to get your look. Mineral Trios by Prestige Cosmetics are loose powder glimmering eyeshadows to enable you to build as much drama as you wish and a little certainly goes a long way. Sweep over your entire lid with fingertip or brush, or build up a coverage with a dampened brush for more bling to party with. CID eyes, lips and cheek palette is a great little kit to take with you for touch ups during the night (of the make up kind, of course!), or to keep with you at work before the party starts after hours.
For those of you who love colour, Barry M’s Trio Eyeshadows offer some funky glamour that will get you noticed, as will the Dazzle Dust range of loose eyeshadow colours to mix and match your palette. Finish your eyes with some fabulous falsies like Ardell Enchanting Lashes - they build up your fluttering power when some extra flirting is needed and some rhinestones on your lashes are the perfect party piece.
For lips, choose to go bold, to glimmer with gloss or to colour up and stand out. Rituals’ red lipstick shade in Attention will get you exactly that; the long lasting formula will keep in place after a few vinos and the look is strong, vampy and powerful. Apparently a fave of Billie Piper, channel some Belle du Jour and pucker up.
