New! Creative Crush: Danielle Meder, illustrator

As a creative person I absolutely ADORE finding out about how other creatives work, think and do.
Hence my new feature, Creative Crush here on Dexterous Diva ( I once ran a creative industries networking event in East London of the same name).

I love hearing from other people working in the creative industries and really enjoy networking with others. So if you are a photographer, artist, illustrator, designer, writer, film maker, textile artists or anything else drop me a line to be on the weekly creative crush feature using the information below.

Danielle Meder: Final Fashio

Amaya Arzuga Danielle Meder

So, my very first creative crush is the fabulous Danielle Meder, who I had the pleasure to meet at the very first Cherry Bites lunch earlier this year.

Danielle is an amazing illustrator and her blog, Final Fashion, is one of my favourites in my RSS for insightful, original and well thought content.

Over to Danielle…

Danielle Meder
Age: 29
Creativity of choice:
Fashion is my discipline, drawings and words are my media.
What inspires you?
I’m fascinated by the endless cycle of transformation of aesthetic trends, and the technical and industrial engines that make fashion function.
Where do you work?
Currently, I work from a desk in a shared office near my flat in East London. Everything I need to run my business currently fits in a carry-on suitcase. I’m able to be mobile when I feel like it.
How do you work?
I sketch with a pencil, building up layer over layer of sketches until it’s ready to be taken into my Macbook Pro. I go out and try and learn as much as I can, observe as much as I can, and combine what I learn into new ideas which sometimes turn into thinky blog posts. I love to talk shop. Do any of these things count as work? Anyway, that’s what I do.
How do you keep creative?
I’m not sure how to stop. I always have more ideas than time to execute them. I’m driven by curiosiity.
Where can we find you?
